Factor times base

The calculation is simple once you know what the factor applies to. At «35× the bonus» and 100 francs of bonus it is 3 500 francs of turnover. At «35× bonus and deposit» and 100 francs of each it is 7 000. The same factor, twice the amount — and the banner says 35× in both cases.

What «turnover» actually means

Turnover means the sum of the stakes, not of the losses. Anyone who has to meet 3 500 francs of turnover does not have to lose 3 500 francs — they have to stake it, and winnings flow into new stakes along the way. With a balance of 200 francs a turnover of 3 500 is perfectly reachable; how far the balance carries depends on the house edge and on the variance of the game chosen.

Game weighting

The terms carry a table of which game counts for what percentage. Common: slots a hundred per cent, roulette ten or twenty, blackjack ten or nothing, live tables often excluded. Play at a table that counts for ten per cent and 3 500 francs of turnover actually needs 35 000 francs of stake.

The order the balances are used in

A clause that is almost never mentioned: some houses stake your own balance first and the bonus only afterwards, others the other way round. In the first case you can lose your own money before the turnover even begins to run. That statement sits in the terms and is worth the search.

A worked example from front to back

Suppose somebody deposits 200 francs and takes a bonus of 100 per cent up to 200 francs, with a turnover factor of 35 on the bonus, a deadline of 30 days, a maximum stake of 5 francs a round, and slots counting in full. Then 7 000 francs of turnover stand ahead — at 5 francs a stake that is 1 400 rounds, and at roughly 500 rounds an hour just under three hours of pure spinning. Spread over 30 days that is manageable. Change a single figure and the calculation tips: if the factor applies to bonus plus deposit it becomes 14 000 francs of turnover; if the chosen game counts for only twenty per cent it becomes 35 000 francs of stake. That is why the base is the most important statement in the whole offer — and it is never on the banner.
